We Specialize in Thermal Imaging. What is thermography? Thermography is a non-invasive diagnostic technique that converts infrared radiation emitted from the skin surface into electrical impulses that are visualized in color. The spectrum of colors indicate an increase or decrease in the amount of infrared radiation being emitted from the body surface. Medical Thermography can graphically display and record the subjective feeling of pain by objectively displaying the changes in skin surface temperature that are produced by pain states. Medical Thermography’s major clinical value is in its high sensitivity to pathology in the vascular, muscular, neural and skeletal systems and as such can contribute Clinical uses for DITI include; To localize an abnormal area not previously identified, so further diagnostic tests can be performed; To define the extent of a lesion of which a diagnosis has previously been made; To detect early lesions before they are clinically evident; To monitor treatment and the healing process before the patient is returned to work. |
About Pennsylvania Thermal Imaging Pennsylvania Thermal Imaging was established in 2004 to provide the highest quality of thermal imaging services available in Pennsylvania. We currently have 2 female thermographers, Erin Clausner (Level 1), and Jennifer Farquhar (Level 2), and one male thermographer Dr. Heath Farquhar (Level 2). We are located in Greensburg PA and are the oldest Meditherm office in Pennsylvania. Our camera is certified every year to assure the best quality images. Dr. Heath Farquhar is a 2000 graduate of Life University School of chiropractic. He recieved his level 1 training in the use of thermography cameras in 2004 and was trained directly by Peter Leando, founder of Meditherm. At the 2005 ACCT Duke University Conference Dr. Farquhar achieved his level 2 clinical thermographer certification. Jennifer Farquhar is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, and a Developmental specialist for Early Intervention. She was also trained by Peter Leando, founder of Meditherm. At the 2005 ACCT Duke University Conference Jennifer Farquhar achieved her level 2 clinical thermographer certification. Erin Clausner Is a University of Pittsburgh Graduate and was recently trained as a level 1 thermographer at Duke University Medical Center. Other Locations: Currently Pennsylvania Thermal Imaging travels to locations in Finleyville, Penn Hills, Mt. Lebanon, Wexford, Bridgeville, and North Baldwin in addition to the Greensburg office.
